The Deli Magazine: Mad Decent Block Party 2011 photo recap, The Piazza, Philly
I had the opportunity to cover the Mad Decent Block Party 2011, Philly style, for my internship with The Deli Magazine. It was a wild, wild afternoon, and I loved every bit of it (minus a few water gun shots to the camera and lens).
Below is a little blurb and a photo. If you click on the piece, it will redirect you to the photo recap of the event on The Deli’s website.
Here are some other favorites I took from the block party:

And don’t forget – lots more on my Flickr!

The Deli Magazine: Rock and Read Festival review and photo recap, Bookspace, Philly
This past Saturday I covered the Rock and Read Festival, presented by The Deli Magazine and Cloud Entertainment, in order to benefit Rock to the Future, an after-school music education program for kids in low-income families. It was a lot of fun, with really great bands (Mischief Brew, Harry and the Potters, The New Motels, Monsterface, The Jawnettes and more), and as always, a bunch of cool finds in Bookspace.
Click the image and writeup below to see shots of all the bands. Under the image, I have posted additional photos that I took throughout the night.

Kyle “Slick” Johnson, in-studio photo shoot, Philly
My boss at The Deli Magazine – Philly asked me to shoot music producer Kyle “Slick” Johnson at his studio in Philadelphia for an upcoming contest. Mr. Johnson has produced albums for bands such as Modest Mouse, The Hives, Wavves, Rogue Wave, Gavin DeGraw and more. When my boss asked me to do this shoot, I was super stoked. Here are some images of him and his studio:

The Deli Magazine: Pink Skull show preview, M-Room, Philly
I just started an internship with The Deli Magazine. It’s a national music magazine that covers local music in major cities. I cover Philadelphia.
Today my first writing was published, which is really exciting for me, because music journalism is my ultimate goal as a career. It was a show preview, which basically just gives listeners a small piece of the pie, but through a visual format. You can click on the screenshot of the article below to take you to the website.
